Anonymous asked: please publish a book with all your comics. please please please. (i'd sleep with it under my pillow nightly) ... (hoping to absorb some wit)
Is this going to happen?
Well, yes and no. Am I going to publish a book? Yes. Will it be out any time soon? No.
I’ve realized that I’m definitely going to give professional comic illustration a shot. That’s like my life goal now. But before I put out a book, I want to have a whole ton of comics amassed, so that I can advertise it as a collection of all of my webcomics and a whole mess of secret comics that no one’s ever seen before. It’ll be great. Maybe in the meantime I can make a little zine or something for everyone to put under their pillows!Something to look forward to sooner than my book are T Shirts. We’re talking to printers and I’m mocking up designs.

Anonymous asked: your art reminds me a lot of Three Word Phrase!
okay, I’m going to take this as a compliment, but this is something I’ve been conscious of recently. Ryan Pequin is a beast, and he’s hilarious. I’ve been trying to simplify my own style recently as a means of making more comics (trying to post daily, guys) and I have noticed a similarity between my work and Mr. Pequin’s. I’d like to think that I provide enough of my own flare and sense of humor that I’m not ripping him off. I feel like my old formula for drawing characters was kindof lumpy and awkward, and hopefully I can continue to develop into a more original style. But yeah. At least I’m not The Argyle Sweater just pooping out copies of Larson’s work. And at least I’m making comics every day! Weeeeee!
